We know that sometimes it can all get to be too much. Sometimes the path you’re on gets hard and you’re not able to pay your bills. We want to assure you that this is nothing to be ashamed of, and you’re not alone. It’s just another obstacle on your financial journey, but it shouldn’t be one that discourages you from achieving your goals. Of course, everyone feels a bit discouraged sometimes and that’s completely valid. Just know that Your FInancial Journey is always here to help. No shame, no judgment.

So what are your options if you can’t pay your bills? Are there any options? And even if there are, are they realistic? The answer is yes. And we’re here to tell you about some of them.

We suggest keeping in contact with your creditors. They really are there to help and can provide you with options to get back on tack. You can also try credit counseling, which can help you create a budget and work out payment plans.

Bankruptcy should be a last resort. If you find yourself stuck in a hole that you really can’t get out of, look into the idea of filing bankruptcy. But keep in mind, not all debts can be discharged this way and there are plenty of options that you should look into before this point. If you’re thinking of filing, please reach out to us.
